Malvern St James School launches MSJ International Football Academy

We are pleased to announce that Malvern St James has launched the MSJ International Football Academy, a new programme designed to combine elite football development with the school’s strong academic provision and outstanding pastoral care.
Based at Malvern St James School, the academy benefits from a strategic West Midlands location with outstanding transport links, providing regular access to high-quality competitive environments. Players will compete against leading professional academies across Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and London, ensuring exposure and development.
Pupils are fully integrated into school life, following the MSJ curriculum while receiving high-level football coaching within a supportive and structured environment. The academy operates an education-first model, aligned closely with the school’s values-led ethos and commitment to developing well-rounded young people.
Football training is delivered using the school’s extensive sporting infrastructure, including high-quality grass pitches, a full-size floodlit 3G pitch, indoor futsal provision and modern strength and conditioning facilities, allowing for a comprehensive and progressive development programme.
Frances King, Interim Head of Malvern St James School, said:
“We are delighted to launch the MSJ International Football Academy. The programme builds on our strengths in education and pastoral care while creating exciting opportunities for talented young footballers. The level of interest we have seen so far has been extremely encouraging, and we are confident the academy will play a positive role in the future of the school.”
Luke Astley, Director of Football at the academy, added:
“We are proud to be partnering with Malvern St James School. The school’s education-first approach aligns closely with our own philosophy, and the quality of the facilities enables us to deliver a highly individualised programme for each player within a supportive and professional environment.”
